A big step for small runs

Europe’s market leader in the field of envelopes, mailing envelopes and innovative packaging solutions consistently completes the product range. In order to optimally serve the continuing trend towards increasingly individual, small print runs for top target groups, investments were again made across national borders: In Europe, ten state-of-the-art W+D Halm i-Jet 2 inkjet digital printing systems are now in use – two of them in Germany, at the Heilbronn site. This means that all existing and future customers have immediate access to the new high-quality and economical options for creating completely individual print images on envelopes and mailing envelopes. The range of applications covers print runs from just a few hundred to over 30,000 units. These segments, which are continuing to grow, are now perfectly covered by the innovation driver for numerous demands and requirements.

The Winkler + Dünnebier systems used are characterized by enormous variability and flexible options. Expensive set-up costs and generous material subsidies are completely eliminated. Grammages of 60-200 g/m2 can be printed, with formats between 90 x 90 mm and C4. A resolution of 1,600 x 1,375 dpi is achieved, so that no customer requests remain unfulfilled. The archived image data can be easily retrieved for future productions at the touch of a button – the same quality for every further job is thus literally pre-programmed.

Mayer-Kuvert-network is with 30 companies represented in 16 European countries. With the new production resources, the company underlines its credo “Strong communication. From person to person.”
